There are 40 slots available for the Pennsylvania State Police Law and Leadership Academy. Application is open to any male or female student, over the age of 18 and has graduated from high school or obtained a GED. The program is for applicants seeking a career as a law enforcement officer. The applicant shall reside or attend school in the Northeast Pennsylvania area, which encompasses the counties Monroe, Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Wayne, Pike, Schuylkill, Wyoming, and Luzerne counties. Individuals outside specified counties will also be considered and are strongly encouraged to apply.

Law and Leadership Academy Dates: April 26, 2025, through August 14, 2025
Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM and one Saturday a month. Saturday classes are from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM and are hands on scenarios based upon learned curriculum.
Classes would change from PM hours to 8:00 AM -11:30 AM starting May 13th or 20th depending on the end of spring semesters.
