I have always been driven by an intense desire to impact my country and community for the better. As a United States Marine, I was afforded the opportunity to serve my country in the most professional and capable branch of the military. I serve my community in the same manner. I enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police knowing that I would be a part of the first state police organization and finest law enforcement agency in the country.
Being a Pennsylvania State Trooper has given me a rewarding and challenging career. I am proud to have earned the right to wear the uniform of a Pennsylvania State Trooper. Upon graduating from the academy, I had the opportunity to serve in Troop L, which is one of the first of four troops that originally constituted the Pennsylvania State Police at its founding in 1905. My first assignment, as a new Pennsylvania State Trooper, was to Schuylkill Haven Barracks Patrol in Schuylkill County. I later transferred to Troop L Headquarters, Reading Barracks in Berks County. While serving as a Trooper, I was fortunate enough to conduct numerous criminal investigations which led to many arrests and convictions. I am guided in this profession by the Pennsylvania State Police core values of Honor, Service, Integrity, Respect, Trust, Courage, and Duty. I am motivated in this profession as it enables me to bring justice to those victimized by criminals.
As a Pennsylvania State Police Recruiter, I find candidates who will benefit this department by upholding our standard of excellence. The best candidates are those who are interested in serving others. Troopers are not simply found, they are forged from high energy, positive, passionate, prepared, and coachable individuals.
